Separate from Celeste
Celeste does not include the Verified star. The star is a separate $3.99 one-time purchase, including for Celeste members. Neither Celeste nor a Verified star automatically grants a Verified badge.
What the symbols tell you
A Verified badge means the profile has been approved by administrators under the notability and authenticity criteria. A Verified star means the account has the paid star add-on. These are different statuses, not interchangeable levels of verification.
